The PGRI Yogyakarta University Primary School Teacher Education Study Program has held a very interesting competition festival with the theme "6th Learning Media Competition Festival" with the theme "The Young Creative Media" which was attended by all PGSD students of the year 2017 Total 252 student. On 20 December 2018, This activity aims to hone the creativity of prospective educators, especially Primary School Teacher Education students at PGRI Yogyakarta University, in making learning media as teaching materials for students so that the media can help them to be used as a means of delivering material, especially computer-based and concrete learning media materials and directing students to create creative learning media that can be used for learning in elementary schools..

This activity was led by Urip Muhayat Wiji Wahyudi, M.Pd. as a lecturer in the Elementary School Teacher Education Study Program and also available 2 Lecturers who attended and served as judges at this event included Rina Dyah Rahmawati, M.Pd as concrete jury and as for Prahenusa Wahyu Ciptadi, M.Eng as an IT jury, and there are judges who come from institutions outside PGRI Yogyakarta University, namely judge Yohanes Kurniawan Barus, M.Pd ,Yulian Adi Kristanto, S.Pd as IT judge, and as for Ani Sholikhah, S .Pd; Fauziah's line, M.Pd as concrete judge. In this activity the committee gave awards to 8 the best team in the form of a certificate and cash worth Rp 400.000 for the first best, Rp 350,000 for second best, and Rp 300,000 for third best, and Rp 250.000 for the best favorites which are announced directly at the end of the event.

The group consisting of 3-4 student people, learning media in the form of teaching aids or audio visuals. The learning media included is not plagiarized and has never been published. Participants must include a description of the process of making learning media and explain the tools and materials used, then participants must include a description of how to use or operate learning media, each participant presented his work, then commented on and rated by the jury.

This event was successfully implemented as proven by many 67 teams that have registered as competition participants, and participants consisted of semester Elementary School Teacher Education Students 3 and held at the PGRI Yogyakarta University Auditorium. This learning media competition is a routine activity every year organized by the PGSD study program.

The final results of the learning media competition festival were achieved by 8 champion for each branch, have a champion 1, 2, 3 and a favorite for concrete media. Then IT has a champion 1, 2, 3 and favorites.
