PGRI Yogyakarta University is again carrying out Basic Advanced Course activities (KMD) for students of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) from date 14 January - 2 February of the year 2019. This activity was divided into three waves. Wave 1 implemented on date 14-20 January 2019 which is followed by 191 students from the PGSD Study Program class A1-A5 2018. Wave 2 implemented on date 21-27 January 2019 which was attended by students from the English Language Education Study Program (1 class) a number 30 student, History Education (1 class) a number 38 student, Pancasila and civic education (1 class) a number 23 student, and PGSD like A6-A7 2018 a number 72 student. Wave 3 implemented on date 28 January-February 2 2019 which was attended by students of the Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program (2 class) a number 84 student, Counseling guidance (1 class) a number 38 student, and Mathematics Education (2 class) a number 53 student.

On the first day of KMD (Monday, 14 January 2019) participants carried out KMD opening activities at 12:00 p.m 08.00 located in the FKIP Hall Floor 3 Unit II PGRI University Yogyakarta. The opening event was attended by the Dean of FKIP, Kak Darsono, M.Pd., Deputy Dean III Kak Danuri, M.Pd., Deputy Dean II, Dr. Siti Maisaroh, M.Pd., Kaprodi PGSD Kak Ari Wibowo, M.Pd., Deputy Chancellor III Mr. Muhammad Fairuzabadi, M. Kom. Apart from being attended by UPY structural officials, The opening ceremony was also attended by Coaches from Kwarcab Bantul Regency. Officially the annual KMD UPY activity 2019 opened by Kak Didik as Chair of the Bantul Regency Kwarcab. After the opening ceremony, Participants immediately enter the classes as determined by the committee. The first activity is carrying out a Pre Test to find out the extent of the KMD participants' initial understanding regarding scouting. Next, participants receive material about Course Orientation, Development of Course Goals, Law No. 12 Year 2010, AD and ART of the Scout Movement, Basic Principles of Scouting, Scouting Method, Scouting-History and Scouting Education, Honor Code, Basic Figures, and Motto.

On the second day, The first activity began with morning assembly, The symbol of the Scout Movement, WOSM, Organizational Structure and Advisory Council for the Scout Movement, Uniform, ID card, Scout Position Marks and Award Marks, Understanding Students and Their Needs, Communication and socializing with students, Student Activity Program (PRODUCE), Manage the Scout Unit, How to Build and System Among, Role, Scoutmaster Duties and Responsibilities, Creating Interesting Activities, Challenging and Educational, Creating Interesting Activities, Challenging and Educational. The third day, The activities that KMD participants go through are Front Group Organization and Administration, Scout Unit Council and S Forum,G,T,D., Work Unit, SKU/TKU, SKK/TKK, SPG/TPG, How to Test SKU/TKU, SKK/TKK, SPG/TPG, Local content, Ceremony as an Educational tool, Prodik Explanation (S), and the Opening Ceremony of Exercise Alert. Forth day, KMD activities include Scouting Skills (S), How to Test SKUs (S), SKK (S) and SPG (S), Inauguration Ceremony (S), Training Closing Ceremony,The letter (S), Prodik Explanation (G), Training Opening Ceremony (G), and Scouting Skills (G). The fifth day, How to Test SKUs (G), SKK (G) and SPG (G, Inauguration Ceremony (G), Training Closing Ceremony (G), The letter (G), Prodik Explanation (T), Training Opening Ceremony (T), Scouting Skills (T), How to Test SKUs (T), SKK (T) and SPG (T), Inauguration Ceremony (T), Training Closing Ceremony (T) and Debrief (T), Follow up plan (RTL), Post Test and Evaluation, Bonfire and Performing Arts. The sixth day, activities carried out Camp management, Browsing / Wide Game, Open Forum, and Closing Ceremony of the year's KMD UPY activities 2019 which was carried out in the FKIP Unit II Hall..

Activities for six days from morning to evening are mandatory for KMD participants. In order to achieve the approval of KMD activities, all activities must be followed and not one activity can be left out by the participants. The KMD activity itself has the aim of producing prospective scout leaders so that it can be implemented later after the students have served at school. As said by KMD participant Nesi Veronika Dewi, "This KMD activity is very good because people who previously didn't know about scouting can learn that scouting is fun and a very useful activity.". Another participant expressed “The first experience and not everyone has it. KMD activities are taught to be more time disciplined, increase scouting knowledge, and add new friends. "My hope is that with the completion of our KMD we will be better than before and that later it can be implemented in community life and taught to our students," said Wawan Supriono.. KMD activities are not only in the form of classroom learning but are carried out directly by the coaches so that the participants can master the material. Alifudin Tri Prasetya said "KMD activities are exciting when it comes to games and scout practice, not just theory in class.. "It's really impressive that it's rare for scouts to have games every day and the coaches are really fun, not too serious, so there's a lot of impressions from this KMD activity," he said..
