Strengthen Millennial Women's Creativity, FKIP UPY Commemorates Kartin Dayi
The UPY Faculty of Teacher Training and Education has its own way of commemorating Kartini Day which falls on this date 21 April. How come, on Monday (22/4/2019), All students wear traditional clothing from their respective regions. Themed "Kartini's Spirit Strengthens the Inventiveness and Creativity of Millennial Women", UPY FKIP students took part in the Kartini Day commemoration event.
"With this event, it is hoped that it can reduce apathy in the lives of today's students, according to the theme being carried, Millennials are the current generation of students, "And it would be good if students were able to take what can be used as role models in the figure of Kartini," said one of the event committee members..
A number of competitions were held to enliven the event, such as competitions with literacy concepts such as "Reading Kartini's Letter", which hopes to weave the history and life of a Kartini through letters she sent to her close friends and remind us of her example., then there was a class creativity competition with "Decorating Market Snacks", in the hope of increasing participation levels, then the last one is the prestigious annual event in this Faculty, namely "Election of Dimas/Diajeng FKIP UPY 2019", selecting the number one person with superior competence as the chosen FKIP Dimas/Diajeng.
“This kind of event is really needed by students, because lecture activities are sometimes very awkward and boring. This is an annual holiday for students," said one participant. (*/adn)
